Shawn Roundtree Jr, the former pro basketball player turned actor, is Chicago-based. He has made appearances in shows such as Chicago PD and Emperor of Ocean Park; sharing scenes with Academy Award Winner, Forest Whitaker. Over his short acting career, he has filmed many short films and can be seen in numerous commercials, such as DriveTime, Footlocker, and more. In 2022, Roundtree Jr won 1st place in Christine Horn’s Hollywood Bound Actors Monologue Competition. In 2023, he was selected into the Acting Track of the prestigious Hillman Grad Mentorship Lab founded by Emmy Award Winner, Lena Waithe. Roundtree Jr continues to work on his craft under many coaches and programs, including How to Get Away With Murder actor/coach Behzad Dabu.

Shawn is also an entrepreneur. He is the founder of Great Wave, a brand/platform that encourages the youth to be their best selves. Through Great Wave, he is a motivated speaker, provides basketball training/coaching, and more.
